If you started with little and worked your way up to something (like many of today's biggest companies: Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Apple, etc) then treating money so frivolously is still seen as incredibly weird by those still near the bottom. Honestly though, it always spoke volumes to me about the person. I never got into it myself, but it's been interesting to hear about what people were up to. There were opportunities for people to max-bid items which were posted on the gold side and would sell for over 2B equivalent on the RMAH side, so I imagine some people probably had bots going for that. Human players were able to do reasonably well bidding on items which had no buyout, so it seemed like maybe botters weren't focused on that market as much, at least in the mid range. Sell scripts automatically re-posted auctions to keep them on the 1d12h list (a few sessions running for different item types for speed) Moved to memory reading, processing everything on the new search against long lists of manually-configured criteria for buyouts. Started with simple AH buyout scripts (scripted input to fill out the UI with criteria and max buyout and buy whatever showed up) Pulling out a few key points from the gigantic text: ![]() Last updated at 14:00:17 UTC Weekly Help Desk RAGE Loot Thread Trade Thread
